My Music Journal Term 4 Week 10 ( June 1-5, 2009)

Monday June 1
Grade 4B : Motivated all Grade 4 students to preparedness their spirit to face new movement in next semester.
Grade 3A: Evaluated of their skills movement & gave a new song home work.
Grade 5D & 5A : No class today, all Grade 5 students had counseling program from 8-12.
Grade 9AB : Grade 9AB Time Table Music Application-Individual Instrument Performance Exam (10.50 - 12.10)
Grade 7B : MS-HS Time Table Exam
Grade 3B : Students played scale A Major for 1 (one) octave G Major 2 ( two) octaves. All of them are showed well and good progress.



Tesday June 2
Grade 7D : No class
Grade 9AB : No class
Grade 10E : No class
Grade 4D : Most of them still need to require particular attention in the exercise of individuals, so that the direction expected according to the desired target
Grade 5B :
On this day Grade 5B learned sing song struggle of Indonesia.

Grade 3E : All Grade 3E violin students are still concentrate to playing their songs homework that have been given a few weeks ago.
Grade 4C : All Grade 4C students played new number song from Suzuki Violin Book.
Grade 7C :
Grade 3C : Teacher evaluated about students violin skills progress.

Monday May 25
Grade 4B: Evaluation of students assessment result these term and motivated students how to make it better in next new term.
Grade 3A: Evaluation of their skills movement & gave a new song home work.
Grade 5D & 5A: No class today, all Grade 5 students had PYP Exhibitions activity in 8th floor.
Grade 9AB: MS-HS Time Table Exam

Grade 3B: Teachers checked and evaluation 3B students performed assessment score.

Grade 4D : Most of violin students were playing well. Enza still needs more practice and tight discipline to complete his home work.
Grade 5B: No class, all Grade 5 Students had PYP Exhibitions activity in 8th floor.

Wednesday May 27
Grade 3E: Students Home work continued, motivated them with a selecting a few students from these class to join BINUS SIMPRUG String Ensemble. Proudly, inspire one Another to be come Achiever is my basic motivation to all students in strings class.
Grade 4C: Individual students home work checked and gave a new song home work number (scale Major, simple song & difficulty song). Most of them showed good accelerate technical and finger exercises in violin skills.

Grade 3C: Teacher evaluated student’s violin skills progress.

Friday May 29
Grade 5C & 5E: Remedial individual performance test for Grade 5 students. Evaluated the score result in 10 (ten) minutes, then preparing all students to face new simple method to improve their violin skills next semester.
Grade 10BD: MS-HS Time Table Exam
Grade 3D: Individually checked A Major scale with 1(one) octave.
Grade 4A: Some students were allowed to play next number in Suzuki Violin Book 1 except for Seo Ju who already played Suzuki Violin Book 3-4.

Monday May 18
Grade 4B : Merril, Kevin and Su Woong came today without their music instrument. Special for Merril, he need to focus and arrange his time to learn more about his violin home work, even his music theory home work.
Grade 3A: Amanda didn't practice her home work at home just like her said. She needs more attention from her parents to guiding her to get a good assessment result or to motivate how to make better. Jason will be take a challanges of the individual instrument assessment next week. Grant and Grace are need more supervising of their teacher where of these students stand. Both of them always made trouble and talk to much without excuse from their teacher. Today I gave 1 (one) warning to them because of these.
Grade 5D : I got the informations from Melvina is Grade 5D were no music class today because some of them had other special program in somewhere out of Binus area. Also she told me if Ms. Annabelle, if they want these music class time schedule will used to learn about something importnt think in their class.
Grade 5A : No class today, some of students had field trip for PYP Exhibitions activity, and some of them also had the activity in their class room.
Grade 9AB : These morning we are focus and concentrate around scale content area. Learnig how to put notation to music staf five lines with correct place and sound. For vocal students we made a simple approach how to read a notation with singing application.
Grade 7B : Marking and checked students home work and asked them personally what area in music theory confused them. Learning about Enharmonic Tone and individual direct questions.
Grade 3B : Teachers are checked and evaluation students performed score and find the solution what they have to do if they want good score result in any assessment.


Tesday May 19
Grade 7D : Theory of music concern to Enharmonic System and Music Notations details explanations by Mr. Hary, Mr. John & Mr. Sadrakh. All 7D students individually played their own song melody in front of their friends. To completed the reflection about the material of music today like usually in Learning Journal.
Grade 9AB : These morning 9AB performed rehearsal of their own melody in front of friends. They take time of the rehearsal today because they don't have time to try yesterday. So, in 40 minutes they played individual and supervised by teacher.
Grade 10E : Teachers evaluated about students group assessment performed these morning.
Grade 4D : Time of individual instrument assessment and gave score to each students. Most of violin students are played well. Enza still need more practice and more tight discipline to complete home work. Suzuki Violin Book 1 no. 4-13 is song home work area's of students are need to focused.
Grade 5B : Marking & checked students instrument home work.

Wednesday May 20
Grade 3E : Individual home work checked and played song. Vania, Dani, Russel played Ode To Joy song to prepare next performing in Graduation Day June 10,2009. Other students still had problem with their music applications skills and they can't play well. To motivated them with a simple kind by recommendation a few students from these class to join BINUS SIMPRUG String Ensemble. Proudly, Inspire one Another to got Achiever is my basic motivation to all students in strings class.
Grade 4C : Always remainded about playing posture or position during play the song. Gave accelerate technic and finger exercises is our methode to developed their skills each personal.
Grade 7C : Preparation of students own melody in front of rheir friends. most of violin students looking well and we hope they will showing better next time in Students Term Test.
Grade 3C : Students prepared and took their individual perform assessment with each song.

Grade 5C & 5E : No class today, students prepared for PYP Exhibitions activity.
Grade 10BD : Evaluation of students assessment performance and motivated them how to be confidence when their face to other people.
Grade 3D : Exercises and gave them a new homework song from Violin Book. Checked students progress by individual performed in front of teacher. To correction about posture and playing position.
Grade 4A : Students schedule of the individual playing instrument assessment in Music Main Room by Ms. Melvina.

Monday May 11
Grade 4B :
Checking,marking and gave new song h0me work with signed on students Diary. Kevin & Merril no made good progress in song,but their played well with A Major scale.

Grade 3AB :
No class - ELE Time Table for Term 4 Test.

Grade 5D : Last changes individual instrument assessment & directly announced score result.

Grade 5A : Last changes individual instrument assessment & directly announced score result.

Grade 9AB : Students took 30 minutes for rehearsal their own melody in each subject instrument room. Gave explanation to Jessica Lilyan Rosyadi about the rules of our school.

Grade 7B : Individual rehearsel of their own melody starting from giutar & vocal. Most of them still needs practice at home to prepare their skills on assessment time.


Tesday May 12
Grade 7D : Checked about students own melody's homework and today their time to rehearsal and performed in front of audiences. In first session Hary Wisnu teached them how to make and play melody without any stressing. Sadrakh gave a few suggesstion how to play or sing their simple melody related to individual instrument. Next movement in the same session, some of them played their own melody with their individual instrument.
Grade 10E : Rehearsal of group assessment presentation prepared to perform at assembly next week. All students have a responsibility to played with their each instrument.
Grade 4D : Checked and marked students home work and support them as individual to play song and additional scale of major.
Grade 5D : Performed well and more confidence in front of people. All of them still used Suzuki Violin Book and Suzuki Cello Book as a guidience to helped if their need practice at home without private teacher.


Wednesday May 13
Grade 3E : All of them played home work from Suzuki Violin Book without scale and distributed a new song (ode to joy) to members of Binus String Ensemble.

Grade 4C : No clas- Grade 4C were gone for Term Test.

Grade 7C : Learn about music notation and how to application the notation to music staff 5 lines, and how to play with each instrument. Students presented their own song 16 bars melody with individual instrument.

Grade 3C : Distributed new song and prepared that melody to next perform at June 10 on EY Graduation Day.


Thursday May 14
Grade 10BD : These morning all students learned and completed home work and ready to play their group presentation.

Grade 7A : No instrument class today, all students focus to their individual own melody perfomance in Term Test. All of them had played well, althoght still has a few problem with their feel. Most of them look nervous and out of confidence. My suggestion today is, lets come forward and play what we have to play related to their own melody. I let them knew and feel what they fell when their stand on stage or in front of people. These our motivation to motivated them in the music class.

Grade 7B : Learning about notation and Rest Sign of music theory in 40 minutes on session one.
Next session all grade 7B performed with each individual instrument then played their own melody in front of friends. Reflection completed on students journal and wrote their time schedule of the peformance assessment.
Grade 10E : All violin students checked of their home work song. Most of violin students still needs focus around no. 2-9 of Keyser Exercises Violin Book edition 1. Kendriks & Sesa we hope could to arange time to practice and full concentrate in Suzuki Violin Book edition 1 number 2-6.


Friday May 15
Grade 5C : Jonathan is absent today because of sick. These morning before students moved to subject room, some students performed rehearsal with the assessment song.

Grade 5E : Both of Cello students Jason and Steven are played their home work very well today.
Grade 10BD : Group assessment continued in Main Room of music departement and others students stay on subject instrument or studio to practice and completed their home work.

Grade 3D : Students played home work each instrument in their subject room. Most of them showed good progress and we gave a new challanges to join String Ensemble it will perform at EY3 Graduation Day June 10. Most of Grade 3D students interested and they will prepare the individual skills till next week.

Grade 4A : I am asking students what they are activity after school and what they do during saturday sunday. Most of them answered many lessons without practice music instrument related to their home work.

Week 6 ; May 4-8, 2009

Monday May 4
Grade 4B : Today all 4B students played well with their individual violin instruments.
Grade 3AB : Jason Bahora, Grant still need to arrange their time to practice at home. To follow up by me is, send SMS,lived messages to their parents,sister,even their nanny in school since last semester.
Grade 5D : Gave a challanges to students who want's to take individual instrument re-test next week.
Grade 5A : Gio need more regular time to practice at home about his violin song home work.
Grade 7B : Checking and Marking students home work & explained how to put sharp sign (#) on music staf(five lines) with correct position. Check individual by direct interaction related to their lesson material of music theory ( Chord,Scale). Wrote on their Journal about class today and what they have to prepare next week.
Grade 9AB :Prepare their own melody to the assessment 2 weeks later.

Tuesday May 5
Grade 7D : Gave a simple approuch how to make major scale with difference kind. Scale, Chord is a new & first experience for Beny who's a person need special attention from his teacher. Today Reynard got a warning from me because his behaviour need that in our school. Most of the times his uniform always unproperlies in class even in our school area.

Grade 10E : Group Jazz presentation of the assessment today is proggressed in time. All music class students still need more practice and need more confidence in front of the audience. These session we made them understand & teach them how to fight with other people by their music skills with positive action. How to explore our emotion by music, even made students knew what is related music with their life. I support Grace Liesar & Hillary to practice their piano skills at home.

Grade 4D : Tania,Jihan and Enza just like other people who needs more time to practice at home regular. Three of them are still playing around no.2-4 Suzuki Violin Book 1.

Grade 5D : Alicia,Bella & Andrea aren't practice at home & today their wrote on learning journal what they have to do at home. Today they got red warning from their violin teacher and have a few days to prapare their home work song to the assessment time next week.



Wednesday May 6
Grade 3E : For these class I gave my special attention to Brandan, Calvin to motivated & explained them what will happen if their homework unfinished by next week.

Grade 4C : Today Josh Luna played Suzuki Book 3 very well. Inca showed good progress in skills. Selly more confidence with her performed but she needs listening to her violin tone. Brian played well with accelerate progress in violin. Alicia Cheung needs more time to practice at home and she need extra lesson at home with a special supervisor.

Grade 7C : Check & marking students home work af Finale: Soft copy and their due date to submit is Thursday 7 May 2009. 7C students have 9 students who didn't submit their home work.

Grade 3C : Just 3 (three) students came in violin class today. Veronica, Oliver & Darren are played one line with same number each other from Suzuki violin Book 1 " Lightly Row "


Thursday May 7
Grade 10BD : All students played with each music instrument during group jazz assessment presentation. All of them looking good & more confidence.

Grade 7A : Grade 7A violin students are new person on that instrument. I proud of Daniel, who's one of them with confidence moved forward to prepare his Viola & played his own melody by his Viola instrument. I believed Daniel has a fighting spirit and planed his self to take a challange.

Grade 7B : Students are own melody prepared with individual music instrument skills. Most of violin students played with a few accelerate progress. But one of them is Hanif is needed more extra time to manage his schedule to practice regular at home or after school. Before their leaved, we announced to all of them about the day of the assessment.

Grade 10E : Evaluation about Gr 10E performed these morning on Gr 10 Assesembly. Session 7-8 in music class, some of students gave questions & comments about temporary score result of their presentation today. Mr. Herry explained how to get a good result if you never practice together as a team. And for me, I'm asking them how to reflect ourselves to face our future without pesimistic. So, the conclution today is; Students acknowledge what they have to do with instrument to application their own song melody and they can feel something when stand on the Stage and front of audiences. Finalized all student are listened and hopely they accept & put to their Heart, Head & Hands.


Friday May 8
Grade 5C : Jonathan played Suzuki Violin Book 1 with strongly spirit. He is a very cooperative and caring student. Grace is active personality and very enthusiasm student. She played Suzuki Book also like her friends. But she need concentrate and focus to practice violin at home if she hope her violin sounds well. First song by Jason Binar is good tone and very difference with last term,even last semester. His playing position or Cello posture is perfect as a cellist (cello player), but he need to practice regular at home (after school) for balanced his music skills.

Grade 5E : Only Reza and Jason came & performed today without Steven J.D & Arradhea.
Reza didn't played well today, but he has a accept reason why he doesn't practice at home.
His reason is, he have to prepare his time to learn much time and finished his others homework.

Grade 10BD : All students completed their performance assessment reflection. Watching video of their performed assessment and learn about inversion of chord.

Grade 3D : All violin students rehearsal of the assessment in front of their friends with a simple song. One of them Dave still had problem with his playing, because he didn't practice at home.

Grade 4A : Individual checking by performed each person. Seo Ju still got higher score for violin in class. She always helped her friends how to play their home work song. She is on Suzuki Violin Book Vol. 3 and exercises Keyser book since last term.
