My Music Journal Term 4 Week 7 ( May 4-8, 2009 )


Monday May 11
Grade 4B :
Checking,marking and gave new song h0me work with signed on students Diary. Kevin & Merril no made good progress in song,but their played well with A Major scale.

Grade 3AB :
No class - ELE Time Table for Term 4 Test.

Grade 5D : Last changes individual instrument assessment & directly announced score result.

Grade 5A : Last changes individual instrument assessment & directly announced score result.

Grade 9AB : Students took 30 minutes for rehearsal their own melody in each subject instrument room. Gave explanation to Jessica Lilyan Rosyadi about the rules of our school.

Grade 7B : Individual rehearsel of their own melody starting from giutar & vocal. Most of them still needs practice at home to prepare their skills on assessment time.


Tesday May 12
Grade 7D : Checked about students own melody's homework and today their time to rehearsal and performed in front of audiences. In first session Hary Wisnu teached them how to make and play melody without any stressing. Sadrakh gave a few suggesstion how to play or sing their simple melody related to individual instrument. Next movement in the same session, some of them played their own melody with their individual instrument.
Grade 10E : Rehearsal of group assessment presentation prepared to perform at assembly next week. All students have a responsibility to played with their each instrument.
Grade 4D : Checked and marked students home work and support them as individual to play song and additional scale of major.
Grade 5D : Performed well and more confidence in front of people. All of them still used Suzuki Violin Book and Suzuki Cello Book as a guidience to helped if their need practice at home without private teacher.


Wednesday May 13
Grade 3E : All of them played home work from Suzuki Violin Book without scale and distributed a new song (ode to joy) to members of Binus String Ensemble.

Grade 4C : No clas- Grade 4C were gone for Term Test.

Grade 7C : Learn about music notation and how to application the notation to music staff 5 lines, and how to play with each instrument. Students presented their own song 16 bars melody with individual instrument.

Grade 3C : Distributed new song and prepared that melody to next perform at June 10 on EY Graduation Day.


Thursday May 14
Grade 10BD : These morning all students learned and completed home work and ready to play their group presentation.

Grade 7A : No instrument class today, all students focus to their individual own melody perfomance in Term Test. All of them had played well, althoght still has a few problem with their feel. Most of them look nervous and out of confidence. My suggestion today is, lets come forward and play what we have to play related to their own melody. I let them knew and feel what they fell when their stand on stage or in front of people. These our motivation to motivated them in the music class.

Grade 7B : Learning about notation and Rest Sign of music theory in 40 minutes on session one.
Next session all grade 7B performed with each individual instrument then played their own melody in front of friends. Reflection completed on students journal and wrote their time schedule of the peformance assessment.
Grade 10E : All violin students checked of their home work song. Most of violin students still needs focus around no. 2-9 of Keyser Exercises Violin Book edition 1. Kendriks & Sesa we hope could to arange time to practice and full concentrate in Suzuki Violin Book edition 1 number 2-6.


Friday May 15
Grade 5C : Jonathan is absent today because of sick. These morning before students moved to subject room, some students performed rehearsal with the assessment song.

Grade 5E : Both of Cello students Jason and Steven are played their home work very well today.
Grade 10BD : Group assessment continued in Main Room of music departement and others students stay on subject instrument or studio to practice and completed their home work.

Grade 3D : Students played home work each instrument in their subject room. Most of them showed good progress and we gave a new challanges to join String Ensemble it will perform at EY3 Graduation Day June 10. Most of Grade 3D students interested and they will prepare the individual skills till next week.

Grade 4A : I am asking students what they are activity after school and what they do during saturday sunday. Most of them answered many lessons without practice music instrument related to their home work.
